The Neutral Group

The Neutral Group is a supply chain and logistics carbon consultancy. One of the services they offer is a Carbon Footprint Assessment. This assessment is conducted online using a surveying tool designed and built by OBS Group specifically for this task.

The online application allows TNG's clients to track their carbon footprint over time across one or more locations. The website gathers important data from each location. From this it calculates the location's breakdown of CO2 emissions over the previous quarter.

The application automatically generates rich PDF based reports detailing CO2 emissions which are sent to TNG's clients. In addition to this TNG can construct complex queries to export data from the system for offline analysis.

British Gas Recruitment website

The British Gas Online Recruitment application allows the British Gas Services recruitment team to run their entire recruitment process online. Recruiters can set up their own campaigns which are linked to postcode groupings and role types to which candidates can apply.

Candidates’ progress and scores are recorded as they pass through aptitude and personality assessments before completing an online application form. If a candidate is successful at this stage they are automatically invited back to the website to book a slot when they can attend an assessment centre interview.

The system provides rich reporting in Microsoft Word format on each candidate and even suggests suitable interview questions based on their performance.

Edgecumbe Group Limited - EmployeSurveys

EmployeSurveys was an existing surveying tool, onto which we have added an advanced reporting and response configuration interface which allows the download of rich reports in either Word or PowerPoint formats.

The configuration of reports takes place through complex interfaces which use extensive client-side JavaScript and AJAX functionality to enhance the experience and productivity of the user.

Westminster International

As a leading global fire, safety, security, and defence group operating in more than 47 countries, Westminster Group wanted to expand its business with enhanced digital marketing through a cutting-edge e-commerce Web site.

The project entailed developing a website with: multilingual support; secure e-commerce; secure access to files for agents & partners; encrypted enquiry facilities; personalised customer account centres; site-wide search of all products & datasheets; interactive worldwide 'contact us' facility; related product suggestions and a product library five times greater than the previous site.

We also had to factor in low bandwidth constraints for some of the Asian and African markets, technology compatibility and advanced security encryption which was crucial to Westminster maintaining their market leading position in the global security and defence market.

Workplace Systems

WorkPlace Systems Plc is one of the world-leading suppliers of integrated web-based Workforce Management Solutions and provides integrated Workforce Management Solutions to corporate customers, worldwide.

WorkPlace Systems had a requirement to have their current website redesigned and redeveloped to; improve on the existing design and layout, implement some more "on-site" search engine optimisation techniques and also to make it possible for more of the sites content to be controlled by the marketing department within the company.

OBS implemented an advanced CMS system that gave Workplace staff great flexibility to easily create new pages and format them as they wished as well as edit existing ones without compromising the websites "search engine friendliness".

Novartis

Novartis AG is one of the largest and most widely respected pharmaceutical companies in the world.

The Novartis Online Assessment system was designed to assess the Personality and Verbal and Numerical skills of potential sales staff throughout the various operating territories of Novartis. On this basis the site was built to ensure that the interface as well as the generated reports could be presented in different languages.

OBS created a system that allows the easy export of all the applications languages resources to Microsoft Excel whereby the copy can be translated and then imported back into the system with only a few mouse clicks. This system means that administrators can manage publishing new language versions without having to invest in extra website development.

The site initially went live in Russian and English.

Novartis

ASDA Jobs Online

The ASDA Online Recruitment website is used to evaluate the suitability of candidates applying for graduate and management job roles at ASDA.

Candidates select from job role types in their local region and then register to begin the assessment process. According to the job role they have selected they complete aptitude tests, a personality questionnaire and in- depth application forms regarding their university or work experience. They also upload their CV and internal management reports if they already work for ASDA.

Scores are automatically calculated for each candidate that completes the process, and these scores help ASDA recruiters make the decision of who to invite to the next round of assessment.

Yell Marketing

OBS Group worked with live|work, a company that specialises in Service Design, to produce an SME marketing portal for Yell.

The portal was developed to allow SME users to market to their customers using print based and email based marketing. Two separate systems existed for the design, list creation and sending of both the print and email marketing and so the portal was designed and developed to bring together information from both of these systems in a dashboard format and to allow the user to pass seamlessly and securely in and out of the three systems in an extremely user friendly fashion.

In order to for the system to work OBS developed the portal using Microsoft .NET and integrated with the other two systems, that where coded in different languages, using Web Service technology.

Life Orientations

Life Orientations® helps business’s create high performance cultures to drive sales, build teams and achieve business objectives based on users completing 180 or 360 degree Personal Style Surveys.

The new LIFO website needed to; allow respondents to complete their style surveys online as well as generate sophisticated Adobe PDF reports based on the complex LIFO theory and the respondent’s answers; enable administrators in different territories to be able to securely manage their respondents as well as track usage of the system in order to bill all stakeholders accordingly.

All the LIFO questionnaires are available in multiple languages to facilitate the systems worldwide usage. The process of translating questionnaires into further languages has been automated so this can be easily carried out by the system’s administrators.
